MENTAL HEALTH – MHWI
Mental Health and Wealth Initiative (MHWI) is a duly registered Non-Profit and Non-Governmental Organization aimed at creating awareness as well as providing tools to safeguard the mental health and wellness of individuals and communities in Nigeria. We pursue our core objectives through innovative research, advocacy, person-centered support, community outreach programs, synergy, development projects design, and implementation.
At MHWI, we focus on the overall mental sanity of society, driving the right advocacy across the most vulnerable communities. We rely on available statistics to respond to mental health challenges among individuals, communities, public institutions, and school environments. Our service scope is not limited by gender, age, religion, tribe, level of education, and other barriers.
We provide support in selected cases of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and respond to people traumatized by communal crises and related conflicts while providing counseling and support for victims of domestic and gender-based violence.
MHWI works closely with critical stakeholders (health and non-health) to dynamically address prevailing challenges of mental health and wellness in society. We also collaborate with medical professionals to evaluate rehabilitated addicts and other mentally challenged persons.
